Jayne Harnett-Hargrove is a cross-trained artist and word-wrangler whose work encompasses the traditional arts, costume design, and illustration. She creates narrative shards and free-style gnovel codices — exploring memory, history and myth. Her overriding drive to create is to experience the human condition mindfully, with the compassion, frustration and fear that we collectively experience. She has painted & designed on four continents — lending her hands for mentoring, exhibiting art along the way, while emulating her heroes, Bouboulina, Huntervasser and Joan DeArc.
As we traverse, interpret, and resonate through the human condition,
it is my hope that we find ourselves illuminated on the page.
