Born in Ann Arbor Michigan, Greg began drawing around age 12. After creating a drawing that impressed himself and his family, Greg fell in love with the rush of creating the illusion of realism.

Originally Greg set out on a career in carpentry, but quickly realized he needed to be making art and be surrounded by other creatives. He attended the College for Creative Studies in Detroit Michigan, earning a Bachelors in Fine Art with a concentration in Illustration.

After graduation, Greg spent six years working working in advertising, honing his oil painting at night. He was also at his Alma Mater as an adjunct professor in the foundation department.

In 2020 Greg made the leap to painting full time, which he does today from his studio and gallery in Asheville, North Carolina, 362 Depot St. Gallery.
