The daughter of an artist, Zoe grew up drawing, painting and photographing nature. Upon moving to the Southern Appalachian Mountains in 2005, she rediscovered art as a means of contemplating -- and advocating for -- the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Zoe has studied a variety of media, including pastel, watercolor, acrylics, and oils. Many of Zoe's paintings include a mix of media, with pastel often in the featured role. She has taught pastel and mixed media painting at the John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, NC.
Zoe’s award-winning paintings have been included in numerous national and international juried exhibitions. Her artwork has been featured on Butternut Creek and Friends’ music CD “Grass of Parnassus”, holiday cards for United Community Bank, and posters and a wine label for Crane Creek Vineyards in Young Harris, GA. Following her passion for nature and conservation, Zoe created original artwork featuring native plants for interpretive signage at the Ethnobotanical Gardens of UGA’s Mountain Research and Education Center in Blairsville, Georgia.
