Claudia Moore Field Art
I am a God taught artist and the mother of 5 grown children and 11 grandchildren. I began my creative career as a painter over 45 years ago. About 10 years ago I discovered wire and fell in love with the 3 dimensional freedom it gave me. I began by creating trees from recycled aluminum wire. I love the life and motion and beauty that I can achieve with the wire. My techniques, tools and materials have expanded over the past few years to include sheet metals, copper and brass wire, natural materials such as logs, branches and beautiful shelves and frames hand crafted by my talented husband and fellow artist and collaborator Andy.
I have become fascinated in replicating birds and animals, insects and fish, tortoises and of course trees. I have even created the occasional pair of nostalgic 1950's Schwinn Bicycles!
It is my intention that my sculptures evoke memories of times and places for those who gaze upon them, because all of my sculptures are a part of my own memories and those of raising my children.
