Marsha Springs
Watercolor, Oil, Colored Pencil Marsha is a native North Carolinian who grew up in Charlotte, drawing and painting her way through school projects and Girl Scout badges. While living in Atlanta, GA, her artistic work was limited to sporadic craft projects which served as a diversion from her career in psychiatric social work. After her retirement in 2002, Marsha returned to North Carolina and was inspired by the cultural richness of Asheville's art community. In 2005, she began studying painting under the tutelage of Lorelle Bacon at the Black Mountain Center for the Arts. Marsha works primarily in watercolor and finds inspiration in many of the natural scenes she discovers on walks and hikes in the WNC mountains. |
