Watercolor

My purpose as an artist is to express myself and entertain others.  I have been juried into many shows.  I was chosen to be in the Colson Calendar for 2007, as one of 12 out of 500 to be in the calendar through the center for the arts in Valdosta, GA.  I have also won many awards, both monetary and ribbons in Georgia, Florida and North Carolina.  I have shown and sold work in Seven Sisters Gallery in Black Mountain, NC and the Doves Gallery in Murphy, NC.  I have taught watercolor classes for two years and love helping other people express themselves through art.  My students say that they look at the world around them in a new way.  My style of painting is loose and flowing with a lot of value and color, several art juries have compared my work to watercolorist Charles Burchfield.
