"My life started colorful and fast-moving and it has yet to slow down. During my "pre-Army career", I spent many years in two orphanages, time with twelve families and attended fifteen schools. After dropping out of school in the eleventh grade I spent time traveling with a carnival, hopping freight trains coast to coast. Later, I joined the Army, which was my first stable experience. I moved up quickly and became a military journalist, visiting four countries and many of the US states.
I've always exhibited natural talents with art and hand crafted items. About the age of 50, I got a serious photography bug and began prowling the Blue Ridge Parkway with my camera. With the help of God and Mother Earth, unknowingly, the dynamic and exiting lifestyle I once endured is now the inspiration for my art. I truly believe that man, within himself, can not create such beauty. I pray that you are blessed by my art as much as it has blessed me." |
