Ever since the first time Heidi saw Salvador Dali’s art as a young child she was inspired by the concept of surrealism. Her fascination with dreams and the subconscious mind are reflected in the imagery within her artwork.
An avid nature lover and a student of herbal medicine, Heidi has a particular fondness for photographing plants and trees. Her digitally altered photos reflect Heidi’s philosophy of the “plant spirit medicine” that makes herbalism so alluring. The altered colors represent the invisible energy in all things around us.
Heidi’s work begins with one image or idea and develops into the final piece through experimentation, introspection and play!
