The shapes and themes in my pottery reflect my lifelong love of nature. When I make pottery I love the meditative rhythm of the wheel and mud slipping between my fingers.
There is a sense of harmony as the clay comes center within your hands and opens out into a new cup or bowl, very much like meditation. Process becomes everything and the results are almost incidental.
Recently I have begun to work more intentionally, using clay as a medium ,celebrating what I see around me - the mountains, a sunflower, my cat and more.
